Physical Security Architecture also known as the Builders View. This layer specifies the system that will be built. This includes the actual technology model and specifies the detailed design of the model and the relationships of the components. This will get to the specific servers that will installed and physical security mechanisms that will be used to deliver the services. This is the first layer where the interface to the human begins; it specifies the data model (what), business rules (why), security mechanisms (how), screen formats and wire-frames (who), scheduling batch jobs (when) and finally the physical location of hardware and software (where). This last “W” is very important in our example as the country where the manufacturing is performed could have restrictions on the use of cloud versus on-premise software which can have a major impact on the decisions made in this layer.
